Owen Travers-Clark
New build house - Banstead, Surrey

Job Specification - Commercial

This was a new build house, and the project entailed landscaping the entire outdoor area. A budget was fixed to include the plants and labour charge. The front and back gardens and also the side entrances were to be greened up.

Solution Provided
I planted up mostly evergreen, low maintenance plant varieties adding some perennial flowering plants for the colour contrast.

As one of the primary requirements was to conceal the house next door as much as possible, in order to increase privacy for the new owners, 4 meter high Leylandii conifers were planted out with a recommendation given to cut back regularly in the future. Leyladii conifers do make a great looking, dense hedge if they are managed correctly.

The job was finished off with a tonne of hardwood chipped bark which was neatly packed into all of the newly landscaped areas.
